WUWU Collection

17-22 August | Cairns Indigenous Art Fair | HopeVale x QUT

Wuwu means 'soul' in the Guugu Yimithirr language and fit's into the concept of a 'new dreaming' inspired by the land, sea and all the life that inhabits  Hope Vale as well as the harmonious relationships between Indigenous and non-indigenous Australians. This informs and inspires the  Hope Vale x QUT fashion collaboration. Fitting in with the 2021 theme 'Sacred' for the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair. This collection will be displayed through the medium of fashion to express all that is sacred to the artists.
